'Game of Thrones' thesp joins 'Seventh Son'
HaringtonWith production on Warner Bros. "Arthur and Lancelot" being pushed back, "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington has found his next role before jumping back into production on the HBO series.Harington is in final negotiations to join the cast of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' "The Seventh Son." Legendary had no comment on the casting.He joins a cast that already includes Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander with Sergey Bodrov helming.Formerly known as "The Spook's Apprentice," tale is adapted from Joseph Delaney's young adult series about a teen who's the seventh son of a seventh son, and learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook.Harington will play the former apprentice of Bridges' character.Bodrov is producing "Seventh Son," along with Legendary's Thomas Tull, Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk and Lionel Wigram. Jon Jashni and former Legendary exec Alysia Cotter will exec produce.Matt Greenberg penned the script.Production is expected to start sometime in April -- ideal timing for Harington, who had an open slot before "Thrones" production starts up.Harrington is repped by CAA.
